Village Values
Taking Values from BS to Behaviour
As part of the Community Planning Project, we'll vote on our core values. Values are essential because they guide our beliefs, attitudes, and behaviors, shaping our identity and decision-making. We already have some clear values, like our strong culture of contributing. But we can’t fully live into the values we can't name. This process gives us the chance to call them out, own them, and become more self-aware as a community.
Determining our core values builds trust and can shape the culture we choose, rather than accepting whatever comes by default. Our values spark action, inspire each of us to be our best selves, and keep our community strong and resilient through any challenge.
When we honor our values, we don't just build a community—we build a place where everyone can rise, thrive, and belong.
