CRITTER CROSSINGS
Too many critters are dying on our local roads. In recent weeks it’s included a koala, a python, echidnas and turtles.
Not to mention all the birds, lizards and kangaroos!

This project covers to all areas in the Dungog Shire and surrounding villages.

Incident Hot Spots and Critter Crossings
Let's build a list of hot spot's so we can work with council to:
-
increase wildlife signage;
-
trim vegetation near the road more regularly or permanently;
-
review appropriateness of the speed zone; and
-
increase driver awareness.

Log a Hot Spot by clicking the hand to the right. You'll be asked to include:
-
the exact location (sending a google pin would be perfect)
-
the species you see (eg. water hens, kangaroos)

If you have extra info for example the below, that is excellent but not essential:

-
any information about the terrain and behaviour of the animals
-
what you think the problem at that site is eg. juicy dairy grass one one side of the road, a nature corridor on the other.
-
any photos you have text to 0422 137 655 or email hello@twinrivers.au
