Objectives

To reduced roadkill via increased awareness, increased safety measures and reduced speed.

Project Steps

1. Call out to community for wildlife crossing hotspots.

2. Build a Google My Map of these areas.

3. Put up temporary signage similar to Morton Bay Region.

4. Gather sponsors and/or look at grants to put in effective permanent signage. Pick signs that are likely to stand out.

All areas in the Dungog Shire and surrounding LGAs.

Community Consultation

Social media and via Community Builders pre-established community consultation routes.

Timeline

Immediate commencement of reporting hotspots, signage 6-12 months, driver-awareness campaign annual commencing in the new year.
